Daniel B. Seivert, CEO and Managing Partner
Daniel Seivert founded ECHELON Partners in 2001 and leads the company as CEO and Managing Partner. Prior to founding ECHELON, Mr. Seivert was one of the initial Principals of Lovell Minnick Partners (previously Putnam Lovell Capital Partners) in 1999, following a career at The Capital Group, where he held executive and operating positions. Mr. Seivert is one of the leading financial and strategic advisers to CEOs, other senior executives, and boards of directors in the investment management and wealth management industries.
ECHELON represents the culmination of Mr. Seivert’s unique investment and wealth management industry experience. At ECHELON, Mr. Seivert has responsibility for all of the firm’s investment banking and consulting activities, which keeps him on the leading edge of the industry’s transactions, strategic initiatives, and the latest in deal structuring. While a Principal at Lovell Minnick Partners, Mr. Seivert was responsible for sourcing investment opportunities; evaluating, negotiating, and closing transactions; developing portfolio companies; and liquidating fund investments. For the two years prior, Mr. Seivert worked as an investment banker with Greif & Co., where he initiated and executed more than $1 billion in sell-side M&A transactions, private placements, and leveraged buyouts.
From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Seivert was an investment analyst and Assistant Vice President at The Capital Group Companies/American Funds Distributors, covering the investment management, securities brokerage, and online finance industries. As an analyst he developed relationships with many of Wall Street’s top executives, while closely covering more than 50 companies with a cumulative market capitalization in excess of $300 billion. He assisted in the development of Capital’s strategy research function and in the process worked directly with the Chairman, President, management committees, and fund boards to evaluate trends in the investment management and securities brokerage industries. He worked as a part of Capital’s senior management team as the firm tripled assets under management, increasing AUM by $166 billion during his tenure.
From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Seivert was a research associate with the management consulting firm of Theodore Barry & Associates. He started his career in the mergers & acquisitions department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and worked on a number of transactions for Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Mr. Seivert has been quoted extensively as a leading authority in the private wealth market by industry publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Institutional Investor, and Investment Dealers Digest.
Mr. Seivert holds FINRA series 6, 7, 24, 62, and 63 licenses through ECHELON's affiliated broker dealer, 3C-WC Partners, LLC. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and an advanced bachelor’s degree in economics from Occidental College. Mr. Seivert is a native of Los Angeles and currently resides in Manhattan Beach, California.
Tyler Resh, Principal
As a principal at ECHELON, Mr. Resh works on a diverse range of investment banking, consulting, and research engagements. In this capacity he prepares offering documents, detailed financial models, as well as valuation analyses. In the course of these assignments, Mr. Resh has developed close working relations with the most prolific investors and buyers in the financial services industry.
Mr. Resh consults on both strategic and tactical assignments across a wide range of financial service markets, business lines, and products. He leverages his consulting experience to aid companies with growth and profitability strategies. His clients include investment managers, insurance companies, commercial banks, broker dealers, and financial planning firms. Mr. Resh also oversees the publication of ECHELON’s executive seminars, conference presentations, and institutional research reports.
Mr. Resh is responsible for maintaining ECHELON’s technology and networks. He also liaises with FINRA and the SEC through ECHELON's affiliated broker dealer, 3C-WC Partners, LLC. Mr. Resh holds series 7 and 63 licenses with FINRA through 3C-WC Partners, LLC. Prior to his position at ECHELON, Mr. Resh worked as a consultant for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a recognized leader in business process and technical outsourcing. At CSC he assisted clients in building optimal outsourcing relationships and advised clients on redesigning their supply chains to reduce internal costs and increase productivity. He frequently led meetings with management of Fortune 1000 companies to develop corporate strategies for the development and implementation of technological systems and applications. While majoring in economics at UCLA, Mr. Resh performed extensive coursework in accounting and finance. Mr. Resh currently resides in San Clemente, California.
Mitch Slomiak, Principal
Mitch Slomiak brings more than 20 years of senior financial experience to ECHELON’s team, with a unique blend of business planning and strategy, senior financial operations expertise, and merger and acquisition work. Since 1997, Mr. Slomiak has served as a CFO-level consultant to a variety of companies and collaborated on several merger and acquisition transactions. From 2001 to 2004, he worked as a consulting partner for merger and acquisition deals with Woodside Capital Partners (originally known as Stone Karan Capital).
Prior to that, Mr. Slomiak spent five years as CFO of travel book publisher Foghorn Press and six years as CFO of regional computer sales and service provider Abacus. At Foghorn, he raised capital and debt to finance the company’s growth and prepared the business model that led to Foghorn’s acquisition in 2000 by Avalon Travel Publishing. At Abacus, Mr. Slomiak funded and helped preside over the company’s expansion from $1 million to $35 million in revenue and the establishment of eight operating divisions. Mr. Slomiak currently resides in Palo Alto, California.
Aaron Jackman, Analyst
In his capacity as an analyst at ECHELON, Mr. Jackman plays an active role in all aspects of strategic consulting, research, and investment banking engagements. In particular, Mr. Jackman is responsible for conducting detailed company and industry research, preparing financial models and valuation analyses, participating in due diligence and transaction negotiation sessions, authoring comprehensive research reports on topics facing the wealth and investment management industry, and closely tracking industry trends. Mr. Jackman also oversees and participates in the development of ECHELON’s executive seminars, conference presentations, and webcasts.
Mr. Jackman brings an extensive legal background to ECHELON, having worked previously for well-regarded entertainment and bankruptcy law firms in Los Angeles while attending UCLA. In 2008, Mr. Jackman graduated cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree, attaining College Honors and becoming a lifetime member of Phi Beta Kappa. Currently, Mr. Jackman resides in Culver City, California. |
